They are seeking a Child Development Teaching Assistant to support the care of children in the Intergenerational Learning Center, working alongside a Teacher to facilitate age-appropriate programs and maintain the classroom environment. Responsibilities: - Supporting the overall care of children in the Intergenerational Learning Center - Supporting age appropriate programs that provide interesting, stimulating and challenging indoor and outdoor experiences - Assisting with children's daily activities - Help support our intergenerational program, nurturing interaction between residents and children - Maintaining the classroom - Preparing materials for the children - Certain clerical and record-keeping duties Required Qualifications: - STARs Basic Child Care Center Certificate or equivalent as determined by program manager within 30 days of hire - Registered in Washington STARS MERIT system for early childhood personnel upon hire - Apply for a Portable Background Check through the WA State DCYF MERIT system upon hire - 1 year of experience working with children ages birth to 5 years Preferred Qualifications: - Coursework/Training: A CDA or 12 ECE related college credits as determined by the program manager - Associate's Degree - AA in ECE or Child Development or an AA in another field with at least 12 ECE related credits as determined by the program manager Required Skills: STARs Basic Child Care Center Certificate, Washington STARS MERIT system registration Benefits: Shift differentials, Standby/on-call, Overtime, Premiums, Extra shift incentives, Bonus opportunities, A retirement 401(k) Savings Plan with employer matching, Health care benefits (medical, dental, vision), Life insurance, Disability insurance, Time off benefits (paid parental leave, vacations, holidays, health issues), Voluntary benefits, Well-being resources
