Job Description
Summary: CoStar Group is a leading global provider of commercial and residential real estate information, analytics, and online marketplaces. They are seeking an Associate Software Engineer to support the Platform Engineering team, focusing on backend development and database management.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person institution in computer science or computer/software engineering, or comparable major graduating between December 2025 through June 2026
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
- Must have previous, relevant internship experience
- Familiar with backend development and object-oriented programming languages, such as Java/Kotlin or Python
- Work with relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, FoundationDB)
- Comfortable using Git, working in command-line environment, and writing basic SQL
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bonus: experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), cloud environment (e.g. AWS) and API development
- Ability to write understandable, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Familiarity with Agile Development processes and Software Development Lifecycle
- Knowledge of web service design and development
