Change Management and Engagement Lead
Location: Indianapolis, Indiana, United States
Role Purpose
Own and drive the internal engagement strategy for the R&D organization, strengthening employee understanding, leadership alignment, and connection to R&D priorities during a period of transformation.
This role translates R&D strategy and change initiatives into clear, actionable messaging and engagement experiences that build trust, reinforce culture, and accelerate adoption across the organization, while elevating the visibility and recognition of R&D talent within the scientific community.
Partners closely with R&D leadership and HR to ensure engagement efforts are aligned to business priorities and organizational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Internal Engagement Strategy & Execution
Own the end-to-end internal engagement strategy for R&D
Design and deliver integrated engagement plans aligned to R&D priorities and milestones
Ensure consistent, clear messaging across leadership channels and employee touchpoints
Change Communications & Organizational Alignment
Partner with R&D leadership and HR to design and deliver change communication strategies
Translate complex transformation initiatives into clear, actionable messaging
Drive alignment and understanding across global R&D teams
Leadership Forums & Employee Experience
Own strategy and content for Global R&D Town Halls and key leadership forums
Define objectives, narrative flow, and cadence of major engagement moments
Ensure forums reinforce priorities, enable dialogue, and drive engagement
Scientific Recognition & External Visibility
Own strategy for external scientific recognition, including awards, nominations, and society engagement
Increase visibility of Corteva scientists within the scientific community
Ensure recognition efforts align to R&D priorities and reinforce internal engagement and pride
Cross-Functional Integration
Act as a connector across R&D leadership and HR to align engagement priorities and execution
Ensure coordination across initiatives, messaging, and timelines
Influence stakeholders in a complex, matrixed environment

Requirements:
Experience:
10+ years of experience in change management, internal communications, employee engagement, or program leadership within complex, global, matrixed organizations
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale transformation initiatives, including organizational change, operating model shifts, or enterprise programs
Proven track record of designing and executing enterprise-level engagement or change strategies tied to business outcomes
Change & Engagement Expertise:
Deep expertise in change management methodologies (e.g., stakeholder analysis, impact assessment, adoption planning, reinforcement)
Strong capability in translating business strategy into clear, actionable messaging and engagement plans
Experience building integrated communication frameworks across multiple channels and audience segments
Strategic Thinking & Business Acumen:
Ability to connect R&D strategy to people implications, aligning engagement efforts to drive business priorities
Strong experience using engagement data, feedback, and insights to refine strategies
Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels
Stakeholder Leadership & Influence:
Exceptional ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders without direct authority
Experience partnering closely with HR, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to align messaging and priorities
Strong advisory skills, including equipping leaders with messaging, tools, and talking points
Program & Execution Excellence:
Proven ability to lead complex, multi-threaded programs with multiple stakeholders and tight timelines
Strong project management discipline, including prioritization, planning, and execution governance
Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and navigate competing priorities
Communication & Storytelling:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Ability to simplify complex topics and create compelling narratives that drive understanding and action
Experience delivering high-impact leadership communications (e.g., town halls, executive messaging, change campaigns)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in R&D, scientific organizations, or innovation-led environments, with an understanding of how scientists engage and adopt change
Experience supporting external positioning or recognition strategies (e.g., awards, publications, industry engagement)
Familiarity with employee engagement survey tools and insights-driven action planning
Experience building global engagement strategies across diverse geographies and cultures
Background in HR Business Partnering, Organizational Design, or Talent Strategy
Experience integrating internal engagement with external brand, reputation, or employer brand efforts
Exposure to digital engagement platforms, content strategies, or modern communication channels
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
