The company is seeking a full-time Engineering Intern for their Clackamas, OR location, where the intern will assist with drafting, mechanical design, and product improvement projects. Responsibilities: - Draft detail drawings for fabrication by a machine shop or outside suppliers - Draft 3D assemblies and drawings to ensure interference-free assembly - Create BOMs, ECNs, dimensional prints, exploded view drawings - With guidance from Senior Engineers, tackle major process and product improvement projects - Mechanical design and analysis of centrifugal pumps, including metallurgical requirements - Create 3D models of pump impellers, volutes, etc., for use in pump design, assembly drawings, and part procurement Required Qualifications: - In pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering - Some experience in a manufacturing environment - Proficient in advanced-level Solidworks 3D modeling skills - Experience with large assembly models and complex surface modeling techniques Preferred Qualifications: - Solidworks training and certifications - Experience in the Manufacturing industry - Knowledge of Centrifugal Pumps - Basic understanding of engineering principals (Strength of Materials, Materials Science, Fluid Mechanics, etc.) Required Skills: Solidworks 3D modeling, Large assembly modeling, Complex surface modeling, Manufacturing environment experience, Centrifugal pumps knowledge, Engineering principles, Strength of Materials, Materials Science, Fluid Mechanics Benefits: Coffee and healthy snacks are provided daily, Free lunch with food truck Fridays throughout Summer, A summer party for the family, Holiday events, Santa Day for the kids
