Community Health Program Specialist
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Job Summary
The Community Health Program Specialist II – Community Building & Civic Engagement Data & Operations Specialist supports collective impact initiatives and grant-making by managing events, contracts, grants, communications, and data systems. This role provides project management and facilitation support to A Just GR and related efforts, supports rapid response grant processes, and ensures effective communication with community partners. The position also leads qualitative data collection and supports quantitative, and partner reported data analysis to inform strategy and decision making. Overall, the role strengthens community partnerships and operational infrastructure to advance equitable community health outcomes.
Essential Functions
Coordinate all logistics for team events, including food, venue, agenda, staffing needs and supplies. Events include the following, not exhaustive: A Just GR Justice Summits and Leadership Council meetings, and grantee events.
Coordinate the contract process for monthly rapid response grants, including creating monthly contracts and scheduling grantee close-out meetings.
Continue all A Just GR contracts and receive monthly invoices from members
Create new A Just GR contracts as needed
Support the CHNA and ONOH contracting process as needed
Collect and store all reports from contracted partners
Coordinate the A Just GR newsletter and implement the A Just GR
Manage the A Just GR, ONOH, and grant making websites
Support communication with rapid response applicants as needed by providing follow-up to declined grantees and preparing monthly reviewer materials
Provide project management to A Just GR workgroups, including creating content, analyzing data, and facilitating as needed
Provide facilitation support to other collective impact efforts as needed
Manage and implement the A Just GR qualitative data collection plan
Support quantitative data analysis through A Just GR
Support data analysis from reports from grantees & contracted partners
Review monthly rapid response grants
Review CHNA grant applications during bi-annual cycle
Support team members as needed
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree Social Work, Education, Psychology, Community Health or Nursing; or equivalent education and experience.
3 years of relevant experience program planning
