About the role

We are seeking a SENIOR PURCHASING OFFICER to join COPYLANDIA SALES CORPORATION in a full-time capacity, based in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. This is a strategic position within our Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory department, playing a crucial role in optimising our supply chain operations and ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials and services. The Senior Purchasing Officer will be responsible for managing complex purchasing operations, negotiating with suppliers, and driving efficiency across our procurement processes to support the overall business objectives of the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive purchasing strategies and policies to optimise procurement costs while maintaining quality standards
• Manage the complete procurement cycle, including sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conducting due diligence and establishing mutually beneficial partnerships
• Negotiate terms, conditions, pricing and payment arrangements with vendors to achieve the best value for the organisation
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure optimal stock management and timely delivery of materials
• Prepare and maintain detailed purchasing records, reports, and documentation in compliance with company policies and regulations
• Oversee and mentor junior purchasing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure team excellence
• Analyse spending patterns and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and supply chain improvements
• Ensure compliance with procurement regulations, internal controls, and ethical sourcing practices
• Liaise with operations, finance and other departments to align purchasing activities with organisational requirements

What we're looking for

• A minimum of 8-10 years' experience in a purchasing or procurement role, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory capacity
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and inventory control systems
• Experience in procurement of imported products
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret spending data and identify cost optimisation opportunities
• Proficiency in procurement software systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
• Knowledge of manufacturing and office equipment/systems procurement is highly desirable
• Ability to work independently, prioritise multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred
• Relevant certifications in procurement or supply chain management are advantageous
