Production Manager (Machining SHOP) at Copper Strips in Bhopal

We are looking for an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead, plan, and schedule machine shop operations and teams. The role will be responsible for achieving production targets and ensuring the timely delivery of machined components in a small-quantity, high-mix manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure daily production targets are achieved as per customer and assembly requirements.
• Plan production schedules and allocate manpower and resources effectively.
• Manage machine shop teams and ensure optimal workforce utilization.
• Take ownership of Safety, Quality, Cost, and Delivery (SQCD) requirements.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain for timely availability of raw materials.
• Plan and prioritize jobs and ensure smooth internal material movement through the machine shop.
• Expedite production activities to achieve 100% on-time delivery.
• Identify opportunities to reduce cycle time and improve productivity.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering teams to implement process and productivity improvements.
• Ensure manufacturing procedures and quality control standards are followed.
• Develop long-term production and manpower/staffing plans based on production requirements and available data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and interact with employees at all levels of the organization.

Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Candidates with Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering backgrounds are preferred.

Experience & Skills

• Relevant experience in Manufacturing / Machine Shop Operations.
• Proven experience in leading and managing machine shop teams.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and shop-floor operations.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-mix, low-volume/small-quantity manufacturing environment.
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, coordination, and decision-making skills.
• Focus on achieving production targets, improving productivity, and ensuring on-time delivery.
