Responsibilities
Job Summary:
What You’ll Deliver (Outcomes)
- Quota attainment and growth across hardware/equipment; increase service attach and consumable pull‑through from the installed base.
- Installed‑base expansion: new placements, upgrades, and replacements tied to capacity/utilization.
- Faster cycle times: reduced days from demo/valuation to PO/installation.
- Accurate forecasting: reliable 30/60/90 commits with clear risk and upside.
- Executive alignment & customer experience: C‑suite buy‑in and improved account health through in‑person EBRs/QBRs.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
How You’ll Win (Responsibilities)
1) Create and Capture Demand
- Capital equipment inventory audits at each site (fleet age/condition, utilization, service status, capacity constraints) with action plans for replacements, upgrades, and additions that convert to orders and stimulate consumable sales.
- Strategic complex selling: multi‑thread across embryologists, lab directors, REIs, procurement/supply chain, biomed/facilities, and executive leadership (CFO, COO, CMO, CEO); build clinical‑economic value cases (ROI/TCO) that accelerate approvals.
- Executive/Quarterly Business Reviews (EBRs/QBRs) to align capital roadmaps, implementation plans, inventory strategies, service agreements, and pull‑through goals—each with owners, dates, and next steps.
2) Compress Timelines & Close
- Drive evaluation plans, site readiness, demos, trials, and reference visits with tight close plans and milestone dates.
- Negotiate local contracts and terms within pricing guardrails; structure trade‑ins, upgrades, financing options, and service bundles that de‑risk the decision and shorten time to PO.
3) Orchestrate the Total Solution
- Partner closely with Territory Account Managers (TAMs) to ensure placements translate into consumable mix and volume growth, and with Strategic Account Directors, Regional Sales Directors, the Head of Commercial, Field Service, Contracts, Finance, Marketing, and Clinical/Scientific Affairs to remove barriers and implement winning account strategies.
4) Command of the Business
- Maintain a clean, inspectable pipeline; run weekly forecast calls with 30/60/90 detail and next‑step clarity.
- Use CRM (updated at least bi‑weekly) and analytics (e.g., Power BI) to assess buying cycles, growth/decline, mix, and whitespace; translate insights into weekly territory actions.
- Administer customer business reviews that tie performance and inventory to revenue plans and service/consumable growth targets.
5) Product Mastery & Readiness
- Own deep technical product knowledge; complete all required training; lead high‑impact demos and evaluations; ensure successful handoff to implementation and service teams post‑sale.
Customer Coverage (In‑Person First)
- Prioritize face‑to‑face meetings across the full account ecosystem: embryologists, lab directors, REIs, procurement, clinical staff, biomed/facilities, and executive leadership (CFO, COO, CMO, CEO).
- Use virtual touchpoints to progress deals, never as a substitute for essential in‑person selling.
What This Role Is Not
- Not work‑from‑home. This is a field‑based selling role; in‑person customer engagement is the default.
- Not customer support or order monitoring; coordinate with Customer Service/Operations for those tasks while you focus on selling, coverage, and growth.
Success Metrics (Examples)
- % to equipment/hardware quota (monthly/quarterly/annual).
- Service attach rate and consumable pull‑through growth from new and existing placements.
- Cycle time from demo/evaluation to PO/installation; on‑time implementation.
- Pipeline health (coverage, stage aging) and forecast accuracy (±10%).
- Completion of inventory audits and EBRs/QBRs with documented next steps.
- CRM hygiene (updated bi‑weekly minimum) and executive access across accounts.
Qualifications
Qualifications, education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree (biomedical/clinical/engineering or similar preferred) or equivalent experience; 2+ years capital equipment sales success (IVF/REI/med‑device a plus).
- Documented growth in complex, competitive environments; strong executive presence and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with CRM and analytics (e.g., Power BI); exceptional organization and time management.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to travel up to ~70% depending on territory; ability to present technical content to diverse audiences.
How We Work—Team & Culture
- Extreme ownership + great teammate: Positive, solutions‑first mindset; reliable partner to internal colleagues across Sales, Marketing, Medical/Clinical, Contracts, Supply Chain, and Customer Support.
- High standards of integrity, compliance, and customer centricity.
