Job Description
Summary: Cook Children's Health Care System is a not-for-profit organization that provides a range of healthcare services. The Business Finance intern will support the Finance and Accounting department operations, gaining experience in financial processes and reporting within a healthcare system.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma required
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or higher degree in finance, accounting, healthcare administration or a related field required
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required, and ability to learn and use accounting software systems
- Detailed oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational and professional programs, keeping current on all government regulations affecting healthcare and not-for-profit accounting and reimbursement procedures
- Must maintain technical expertise through required continuing education
- Follows medical center policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement guidelines, and safety standards
