Walk-in || Ip Billing Executive at Continental Hospitals in Hyderabad

Job Summary

The IP Billing Executive is responsible for handling end-to-end In-Patient billing operations with special focus on Insurance, TPA, and PSU (Public Sector Undertaking) billing cases. The role ensures accurate bill preparation, timely claim processing, coordination with insurance/TPA representatives, and smooth discharge procedures.

Key Responsibilities

1 IP Billing Operations

• Prepare provisional and final IP bills accurately.
  
• Verify all service entries including room rent, investigations, procedures, pharmacy, implants, and consumables.
  
• Cross-check consultant orders and treatment sheets before final bill generation.
  
• Ensure timely bill closure to avoid discharge delays.
  
• Maintain billing accuracy as per hospital tariff and package rates.
  

2 Insurance / TPA Handling

• Process cashless and reimbursement cases.
  
• Coordinate with insurance companies and TPAs for:
  
• Pre-authorization approvals
  
• Enhancement requests
  
• Query clarification
  
• Final claim submission
  
• Ensure submission of complete documentation:
  
• Claim form
  
• Discharge summary
  
• Investigation reports
  
• Final bill and payment receipts
  
• Follow up on pending approvals and claim settlements.
  
• Analyze and manage claim deductions.
  

3 PSU / Corporate Billing

• Handle PSU and corporate tie-up billing as per agreement terms.
  
• Ensure compliance with PSU documentation requirements.
  
• Track PSU approvals and maintain billing records.
  
• Coordinate with corporate desk and finance team for payment follow-up.
  

4 Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate billing records and claim files.
  
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and insurance guidelines.
  
• Support audits by providing necessary billing documentation.
  
• Maintain confidentiality of patient financial information.
  

5 Patient & Internal Coordination

• Explain billing details and insurance coverage to patients/attendants.
  
• Coordinate with nursing, pharmacy, and doctors for missing entries.
  
• Resolve billing discrepancies and patient concerns professionally.
  

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of IP billing process
  
• Experience in Insurance / TPA claim processing
  
• Understanding of PSU billing protocols
  
• Familiarity with Hospital Information System (HIS)
  
• Good communication and coordination skills
  
• Attention to detail and accuracy
  
• Ability to handle high patient volumes
  

Qualification

• Graduate (Commerce / Hospital Administration / Healthcare Management preferred)
  
  

Experience

• 24 years of experience in IP Billing
  
• Hands-on experience in Insurance, TPA & PSU cases
  
• Experience in multi-specialty hospital preferred
