We are seeking a talented and motivated Accountant I to join our accounting team. The Accountant I will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting various accounting processes, and ensuring compliance with financial reporting standards. Reporting to the Production Company Accounting Manager, you will assist in financial analysis, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and supporting the month-end and year-end closing process.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and reconcile various general ledger accounts monthly, including leasing accounts and various accruals
Prepare and ensure accuracy in general ledger entries
Perform system tasks to assist month-end closing
Analyze and input leasing data from external providers into lease accounting tool
Conduct financial analysis to support management and external reporting
Assist in preparation of reporting to the US Bureau of Economic Analysis
Budget various balance sheet values
Provide accounting support to HQ Controlling team
Assist with other special projects as needed, including PowerBI reporting.
qualifications
BASIC:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
Strong understanding of accounting principles
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
High level of integrity and ethics
PREFERRED:
3-5 years of experience in accounting
CPA certification
Experience with SAP
