Summary: Constellation Institute is an independent research center focused on the AI safety ecosystem. The Program Coordinator will develop insights into career pathways within this ecosystem and design programs that support talent development and transitions. Responsibilities: - Own the fellow-facing experience across fellowship cycles, serving as the primary point of contact and ensuring participants feel supported at every stage - Conduct regular check-ins and gather structured feedback to understand what's working and where fellows experience friction - Identify patterns and make recommendations to the Program Manager for experience improvements - Design and iterate on onboarding flows, communications, and key touchpoints based on what you learn - Serve as a reliable point of contact for fellows and program participants, responding to questions, keeping people informed, and ensuring they feel supported through key moments - Help coordinate events and convenings, owning logistics and contributing to preparation - Maintain operational systems that keep programs running including databases, workflows, and tracking tools (e.g., Airtable, Asana) - Support data entry, reporting, and process documentation under the guidance of senior staff - Assist with gathering and synthesizing feedback from fellows and participants - Help document findings and surface patterns to the Program Manager(s) for action Required Qualifications: - Are organized and detail-oriented; you close loops, track follow-ups, and don't let things fall through the cracks - Communicate clearly and warmly with a wide range of people, from early-career fellows to senior researchers - Are eager to learn in a fast-moving, mission-driven environment and ask good questions when uncertain - Have a genuine service mindset; you're naturally curious about what people need and motivated to help - Are energized by the prospect of building something from scratch in a field that's still taking shape - Think AI might have transformative effects in the coming years and want to help build the infrastructure to navigate that well Preferred Qualifications: - Background in program coordination, nonprofit operations, or community management - Familiarity with tools like Airtable, Asana, or similar - Exposure to the AI safety or EA communities Required Skills: Program coordination, Community management Important Skills: Airtable, Asana Nice-to-Have Skills: Service mindset, Curiosity Benefits: Generous vacation policy, 401(k) with employer match, Employer-paid commuter benefits, Health, dental, and vision insurance, Catered lunches and dinners, plus unlimited snacks & drinks, Regular interaction with AI safety researchers and thought leaders, A friendly, mission-driven team
