Intern - AI Engineer at ConnectiveRx in Whippany, NJ

Summary: ConnectiveRx is dedicated to simplifying the medication prescription process for patients. The AI Software Engineer Intern will be responsible for designing and implementing AI solutions while collaborating with senior engineers on various projects within an agile team. Responsibilities: - Work closely with senior engineers to understand and work on assigned projects - Participate in the full SDLC, including design sessions, project estimation, iterative development, and unit testing - Contribute to patterns and system designs, write code, and participate in code reviews - Develop new AI modules for both internal systems and market-facing software products - Contribute to the CRx platform by suggesting and implementing AI-based enhancements to existing frameworks, tools, and processes Required Qualifications: - High school diploma required - Must be an active college student - Undergraduate college student working towards a 4-year undergraduate degree in related field - 0-1 years of related experience - Experience with custom chat bots or similar applications of LLM/NLP - Experience with cloud technologies; particularly AWS/AI components such as Bedrock, Q, CodeWhisper, SageMaker, and the like - Experience with OOP, web app dev, or frontend frameworks such as React - Experience with relational databases, document databases, SQL - Prior exposure to or interest in healthcare technology and its applications in improving patient care and outcomes - Strong communication skills; ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical team members - Strong problem solving skills; ability to design and implement complex technical solutions - Strong data skills, including ability to process and manipulate datasets - Knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, fine tuning, and similar techniques - Experience with RAG frameworks such as Langchain, Llama Index, Haystack, or similar - Exposure to an OO language, databases, and multi-tier application development - Proficiency in Python programming and experience with popular ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) - Strong written and verbal communication - Strong organizational skills - Adhere to all Company Policies, Procedures, and other training consistent with ConnectiveRx's Information Security and Compliance Programs, including but not limited to the following compliances and regulations: SOC1, SOC2, PCI, HIPAA - Maintain strict compliance with company and client policies regarding business rules and ethics, as well as applicable local, state and national federal laws Required Skills: Python programming, AWS/AI components, LLM/NLP experience Important Skills: OOP, web app development, Relational, document databases Nice-to-Have Skills: Data processing skills, Exposure to healthcare technology, Problem solving skills Benefits: Employees at ConnectiveRx can access comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance., Employees may also participate in the company’s 401(k) plan, with employer contributions where applicable., ConnectiveRx provides a flexible paid time off (PTO) policy for exempt employees, covering sick days, personal days, and vacations., Employees also receive eight standard company holidays and three floating holidays annually, with prorations applied in the first year.
