Summary: Confluent Medical Technologies is a rapidly growing medical device company focused on providing life-saving solutions through a collaborative work environment. They are seeking an Engineering Intern to support the Product Development group in designing and developing custom medical device products while collaborating with manufacturing personnel and other engineers. Responsibilities: - Support the Product Development group in the design, development, and transfer of custom medical device products - Support the Engineering team with development builds, aid in set-up, operate and breakdown of braiding, weaving and knitting equipment - Proactively aid in data collection and statistical analysis, coordinating test method studies, conducting feasibility trials on new processes, and compiling documents for manufacturing transfer - Work both independently and also collaboratively with manufacturing personnel and other engineers Required Qualifications: - Interest in Engineering (Biomedical / Mechanical are most applicable) - Interest in Manufacturing - Strong communication skills - Technical writing skills - Critical thinking / problem solving - Ability to work with teams - Organized and responsible Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with braiding, weaving and/or knitting is a plus Required Skills: Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Braiding, Weaving, Knitting, Data Collection, Statistical Analysis, Test Method Studies, Feasibility Trials, Equipment Operation, Optical Inspection, PLC Programming
