Role Overview

Great content starts with a great idea - and great ideas need an even better script to bring them to life.

As a Script Writing Manager, you’ll lead the scriptwriting function, turning briefs, brand objectives and audience insights into sharp, engaging, creator-first content ideas and scripts.

Working in a fast-paced agency environment, you’ll get to write and ideate for multiple brands across different categories, audiences and content styles - keeping every brief fresh and every idea different.

The Gist of What You’ll Do:

• Ideate Content That Makes People Stop:**** Develop fresh, culturally relevant content ideas and concepts based on brand briefs, campaign objectives, creator personalities and audience behaviour.
• Turn Ideas Into Scripts:**** Write and oversee engaging scripts across formats - short-form videos, reels, YouTube content, integrations, branded content and more - while keeping storytelling natural and platform-first.
• Own the Creative Direction:**** Set the overall scripting and storytelling direction for campaigns, ensuring ideas are not only creative but also aligned with the brand's objective and creator's content style.
• Lead the Scriptwriting Team:**** Manage the day-to-day output of the scriptwriting team, allocate briefs, review scripts, provide feedback and ensure consistency in quality, tone and storytelling.
• Make Brands Feel Native:**** Find creative ways to integrate brand messaging into content without making it feel forced, scripted or like a traditional advertisement.
• Bring Creator-First Thinking:**** Understand different creator personalities, niches and audiences, and tailor concepts and scripts to their unique voice rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
• Stay Ahead of Culture & Content:**** Keep a strong pulse on social media trends, formats, internet culture, memes, conversations and emerging content styles - and turn those observations into content opportunities.
• Collaborate & Elevate Ideas:**** Work with Brand Partnerships, Creative, and Creator teams to brainstorm, refine and execute ideas, while constantly raising the creative bar for the team.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3-5 years of experience in scriptwriting, content writing, creative writing, copywriting, or a similar content/creative role.
• Strong experience writing for social media and digital-first content, especially short-form video.
• Excellent understanding of storytelling, hooks, pacing, narrative structures and audience psychology.
• Ability to generate original content ideas and turn them into compelling, executable scripts.
• Strong understanding of creator content and influencer marketing.
• Ability to adapt writing styles across different creators, platforms, audiences and brand categories.
• Experience managing, mentoring or reviewing the work of a team of writers.
• Strong editing and feedback skills with a sharp eye for what makes content engaging.
• Excellent command of language, grammar and communication.
• Ability to work on multiple briefs and deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
• Someone who is constantly consuming content and can tell the difference between “this is trending” and “this is actually good.”

Monday to Friday (Onsite) + Saturday Half Day (WFH)
