Atelier Assistant (Bridal and Evening) at Confidential in Dubai

We are seeking an organised and hands-on Atelier Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our couture atelier. The role combines practical atelier assistance with responsibility for maintaining an organised working environment and monitoring fabrics, trims, materials and garment production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist pattern cutters, tailors and other members of the atelier with daily garment preparation and production requirements
• Prepare fabrics, trims, linings and other materials required for each garment
• Maintain an accurate inventory of fabrics, trims, threads, zips, buttons, boning, embellishments and other atelier materials
• Record materials received, issued and used, and flag low stock or items requiring replenishment
• Ensure fabrics, patterns, trims, samples and tools are correctly labelled, organised and stored
• Assist with tracking garments through the different stages of production, including pattern cutting, cutting, construction, fitting, alteration and finishing
• Support with basic sewing, hand-finishing, pressing and garment preparation according to experience and ability
• Prepare garments and materials for fittings, presentations and final delivery
• Monitor the condition and organisation of atelier equipment, tools and workspaces and report any shortages, damage or maintenance requirements
• Work closely with the senior atelier team to ensure materials and supplies are available when required and that the atelier operates efficiently

Requirements:

• 5+ years of atelier or workroom experience, ideally within bridal or eveningwear
• Comfortable working with delicate, valuable, or limited quantity fabrics without damaging them
• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail across both materials tracking and hands-on tasks
• Basic sewing, hand-finishing, and pressing ability, used to support the senior tailors as needed

Bonus: Familiarity with corsetry construction or boning work

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
