Essential Job Function:
- Supports the nurse and physician by setting up procedures and organizing room turnover to ensure that rooms are ready for endoscopic procedures.
- Cleans and maintains equipment, including endoscopes, to communicate readiness for surgery and report malfunctioning equipment as needed.
- Observes changes in patients in order to support needs and report findings to the nurse and physician.
- Handles phone calls to the hospital to relay and take messages and information to the proper parties.
- Assists patients with toileting, undressing and dressing as well as transportation to and from various locations within the hospital.
- Collects bodily fluid specimens from patients in order to provide samples for medical study.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
- Preferred: 1 year
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
- Required: BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
Work Shift :
Days/No Weekends (United States of America)On Call Required
