The Associate will manage the financial and operational performance of battery energy storage assets, ensuring optimal market participation and compliance with regulatory requirements while coordinating closely with various teams. Responsibilities: - Manage the Profit & Loss (P&L) for battery energy storage assets, including revenue forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis - Monitor NYISO and other relevant market operations, analyze price signals, and optimize dispatch strategies to maximize profitability - Ensure accurate billing for energy transactions and auxiliary loads; reconcile discrepancies and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements - Track and enforce contractual obligations related to battery assets, including performance guarantees, cycling limits, and reporting requirements - Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports; identify revenue optimization opportunities and support regulatory filings - Work closely with operations, finance, and regulatory teams to align asset performance with company objectives and compliance standards - Respond to ad-hoc data requests and analysis as needed - Ensure compliance with company safety, health, and environmental policies - Assess market, operational, and contractual risks; develop mitigation strategies to protect asset profitability Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent is required - Minimum one year cumulative work experience OR six months of Con Edison co-op/internship experience - Must have the ability to make sound business decisions - Must be detail oriented, have strong analytical and computer skills (Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Driver's License Required Preferred Qualifications: - One year of utility, energy industry or operational experience - Power Generation, Steam Operations, Gas Control, Gas Engineering and/or System and Transmission Operations, ISO-administered energy, capacity, TCCs, ISO Billing; physical and/or financial commodities training, purchasing natural gas and pipeline scheduling, optimizing supply, pipeline and storage assets, developing and troubleshooting worksheet applications and models, performing economic analysis, developing forecasts and conducting energy related research, Energy Policy and Regulatory matters, Contract administration (ISDA, EEI, NAESB) - Demonstrated experience coding in at least one of Python, SQL, or R Required Skills: Profit & Loss Management, Battery Energy Storage Asset Management, NYISO Market Knowledge, Energy Market Operations, Energy Billing and Reconciliation, Contract Administration ISDA, Contract Administration EEI, Contract Administration NAESB, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Python, SQL, R, Sound Business Decision Making Benefits: Rich medical & pharmacy benefits, including vision benefits, Dental benefits, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, 401(k) with robust matching, Employer paid Pension Plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan with a generous matching contribution, State of the art Employee Assistance Program, Paid Parental Leave, Generous paid time off plus paid holidays, Family support: emergency backup child, & elder care assistance, Social responsibility and volunteer opportunities, Employee discount program, Commuter Benefits, Culture of growth and learning: career development; tuition reimbursement; recognition program, Life and Long-Term Disability Benefits
