Job Description
Summary: Con Edison is a leading utility company focused on delivering clean energy solutions. The Associate - Data & Analytics Analyst will leverage data analytics platforms to perform large-scale data analyses and collaborate with stakeholders to drive business insights and recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Leverage the Enterprise Data Analytics Platform in performing large-scale data analyses, as well as the development of predictive models including machine learning to drive business insights
- Work extensively with key stakeholders across business analytics teams to understand business needs, vet opportunities, and deliver analytics-based recommendations to drive action
- Deliver presentations to communicate analytical findings to technical and non-technical peers, stakeholders, and executives
- Collaborate with key ED&A team members in deploying and delivering solutions into the Enterprise Data and Analytics Platform
- Collaborate with other data scientists to define and develop advanced analytics capabilities, policies, and best practices; evangelize analytics and communicate these best practices across the enterprise
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop deliverables and present insights
- Communicate regularly, openly, and honestly with manager, team leads, team members and business partners using appropriate and effective methods. Raise concerns appropriately to mitigate issues
- Perform other related tasks and assignments as required
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related focus and a minimum of one year experience which includes cumulative work experience or equivalent internship/co-op experience, or six months of Con Edison co-op or internship experience
- Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related focus and a minimum of one year experience which includes cumulative work experience or equivalent internship/co-op experience, or six months of Con Edison co-op or internship experience
- Exposure to design and coding across one or more platforms and languages as appropriate, required
- Exposure to methods relating to application design, software development, and automated testing, required
- Practical understanding of object-oriented design and coding with variety of languages, required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Promotes information sharing

- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Driver's License Required
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 40 pounds
- Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday
- The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related focus with data science and/or AI a plus and a minimum of one year experience which includes cumulative work experience or equivalent internship/co-op experience, or six months of Con Edison co-op or internship experience
- Exposure to Azure and Google Cloud Platform Technologies, preferred
- Understanding of Waterfall, Agile or other rapid application development methods, preferred
