Community Medical Centers has been providing central California with the highest level of care available in the region. Community Regional Medical Center measures up with top hospitals nationally and is the 3rd largest in California! With 685 beds, we are home to the only comprehensive Burn and Level I Trauma center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. The 56,000 square-foot emergency department is one of the largest and busiest in California! We have an 84-bed Level III NICU and plan to significantly expand pediatric specialty care. Our hospital serves 2.5 million people within 9 counties, averaging a daily census of 641 patients. We're affiliated with UCSF as a teaching facility; trained 3,000 Medical Doctor's to date plus continuous invests in research and training grants.
Responsibilities
The Data Specialist supports the assigned department/program with data collection and reporting. Accountable for collecting data from various sources, accurately identifying, validating and entering data into program specific databases and creating reports. Accountabilities 1. Utilizes reports to identify data elements/records to be pulled for data collection.2. Abstracts, enters and oversees selected data using appropriate tools as needed for the department.3. Maintains database and orderly records of data, references and reports. Monitors data and collection of data to ensure consistent and accurate input and quality of data.4. Assists the department with data collection, verification and compliance with regulatory requirements, as well as report creation, generation and compliance tracking.5. Obtains data from various sources and works with various departments to obtain customized reports. Creates monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports as requested using tools such as Excel to aggregate, validate, clean and format data.6. Works cross-functionally with key departments to obtain data and maintain the database system. Attends webinars as indicated.7. Assists in tracking and follow-up for compliance with regulatory agencies. Identifies opportunities to streamline and increase efficiency and accuracy.8. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.Qualifications
Education• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Data Analytics or related field preferred Experience• 1 year of data management, analysis, healthcare or related experience preferred• Experience with excel and formulas/functions preferredDisclaimers
