Job Title: Campus Experience Director
Department: Ministry
Reports to: Senior Director of Ministry
Works closely with: Church Staff (Programming, Ops, NextGen)
Status: Full Time, avg. 40+ hrs/week
Job Summary:
The Campus Experience Director provides leadership and direction for creating a warm, safe, excellent, and relational experience for every person who comes onto our campus. This leader develops teams, improves systems, and ensures every weekend reflects Community Church’s mission to love people the same way God loves us. This person doesn’t simply execute weekends–they build leaders and scalable systems that make exceptional weekends sustainable.

- 5 years of relevant ministry experience.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, develop, and lead volunteer teams.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience leading teams through change and organizational growth.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and lead multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities:
This is what you’ll spend the most time on...
LEADERSHIP - Provide strategic leadership for Campus Experience coordinators and team leaders while equipping hundreds of volunteers to create exceptional weekend experiences.
- Build and sustain healthy leadership structures by recruiting, developing, coaching, and empowering coordinators, team leads, and team members.
- Use the Leadership Playbook to coach leaders, evaluate performance, and identify future leaders through Community Church’s leadership pathway.
- Carry the mission and vision for success in your department, connecting the dots on why we do what we do.
- Model, celebrate, and correct behavior to strengthen our culture through our values and serve standards.
- Attend monthly Team Nights (10) and oversee training breakouts for team development.
- Attend staff, ministry, and 1:1 meetings with your direct report for communication, development, collaboration, and synergy.
- Set, measure, and accomplish SMART goals aligned with Community Church’s goals.
- Conduct regular weekend evaluations and identify opportunities to improve the guest experience.
- Provide direct leadership for all assigned Campus Experience Ministries, including Parking, Hospitality (including Team O Central), Hosts, Safety & Security, and other guest-facing environments.
- Champion a culture of hospitality, where every guest feels seen, valued, and encouraged to take a meaningful next step toward Jesus.
ADMINISTRATION - Love is in the details. Ensure we’re good stewards of the resources entrusted to us.
- Annually request and oversee the Campus Experience budget, spending, and expensing.
- Measure key Campus Experience outcomes and use data and feedback to continually improve the weekend experience.
- Ensure documented procedures and emergency plans exist for each Campus Experience environment.
- Establish standards for ministry environments, supplies, signage, and volunteer teams to be prepared for exceptional weekend execution.
- Ensure all Campus Experience teams are staffed, trained, and prepared before each weekend.
COLLABORATION - Clarity + Consistency = Confidence.
- Partner with Programming to develop a holistic weekend experience.
- Partner with Communications to ensure the guest experience aligns with the church’s vision and messaging.
- Partner with Operations to ensure facilities are clean, kept up with, and reflect an excellent environment.
- Partner with NextGen to ensure ministry effectiveness and congruency.
- Partner with Ministry Engagement to ensure every guest has a clear pathway toward becoming a fully developing follower of Jesus.
- Support church-wide initiatives and special events as needed.
Education:

- Graduate-level degree in ministry, leadership, organizational leadership, business, education, communications, or a related field.
- Additional ministry training, certifications, seminary coursework, or leadership development experience
- Ongoing learner who actively pursues personal, spiritual, and leadership growth

- Bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrated competency, leadership experience, and ability to lead within a growing church environment
- Alignment with the vision, values, and culture of Community Church
