Retail Advanced Analytics & Data (RAAD) partners closely with Retail Banking Services to deliver best practice across data, advanced analytics and AI. Embedded within X15 Ventures, CommBank’s venture scaling arm, we operate in a fast-paced, high-impact environment where analytics directly shapes customer experiences and business growth.
Our team sits at the intersection of customer analytics, decisioning and venture growth, working across a portfolio of ventures and propositions on products designed to solve real customer problems, from helping families build financial habits, to protecting identity, to simplifying the home buying journey.
We use rich customer data to design and optimise Next Best Conversations,connecting customers to the right products and services at the right time, in a way that balances customer value, commercial outcomes and responsible engagement.
Our work goes beyond analysis. We partner closely with product, marketing, risk, compliance and technology teams to turn insights into real-world outcomes, from acquisition through to engagement and retention, with a clear line of sight to what lands in market.

Your Impact & Contribution
As an Insights Analytics Manager, you’ll use rich customer data to deliver actionable insights that drive smarter decisions and measurable outcomes. This is a hands-on role where you’ll design and optimise customer engagement strategies, translate business problems into analytical solutions, and partner across teams to bring insights to life.
You’ll balance technical delivery with commercial thinking, helping shape how value is delivered to customers across fast-growing ventures and propositions.
To achieve this, you may expect to:
Partner with product, marketing and technology teams to define analytical objectives
Analyse campaign performance and portfolio outcomes to drive continuous optimisation and improve strategic effectiveness, scalability and performance
Design and optimise Next Best Conversation (NBC) strategies
Translate business needs into analytical solutions, and present to key stakeholders
Navigate complex data to solve ambiguous problems to deliver outcomes
Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and Head of Growth to develop an insights led culture across the team
Keep us safe by maintaining an firm focus on Compliance and Risk Management and incorporating risk reduction into processes and procedures.
Your skills and experience
You’re a highly technical, commercially minded and suitably experienced analytics professional with well-developed interpersonal and stakeholder collaboration skills.
You’re comfortable navigating complex datasets and sources, and capable of translating quantitative, qualitative and nuance considered data into actionable and strategic insights.
Your SME knowledge enables effective stakeholder influencing, and team development mentoring
You bring a solid understanding of customer analytics, campaign metrics, journeys and commercial decisioning.
You’re a solutions-driven leader who is proactive, adaptable and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
You bring effective strategic leadership and judgement, balancing customer, commercial and risk considerations in decision making.
Your technical skills will include, though won’t be limited to:
Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
Exposure to predictive modelling, RAG pipelines, and agentic architecture and frameworks (preferred but not essential)
Experience with Adobe Marketing Cloud stack, especially AEM, AEP and Analytics (preferred but not essential)
