JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As our Region Manager, Patient Experience, you will support CommonSpirit's mission by enhancing patient experience in ambulatory and virtual care across a designated region.
Every day you will act as a key liaison, implementing and optimizing patient experience initiatives, programs, and best practices to ensure alignment with CommonSpirit Health's national strategy. You will collaborate with clinical operations, market leadership, and quality teams to translate enterprise strategies into scalable workflows and improved patient and care team engagement. This includes ensuring the consistent application of standards, identifying improvement opportunities, and directly supporting facilities in achieving high patient satisfaction.
To be successful in this role, you will be a results-driven leader who helps evaluate and optimize CommonSpirit's experience program, ensuring consistent, high-quality patient experiences throughout the region. Your ability to drive strategic initiatives, foster cross-functional collaboration, and consistently elevate the patient experience will be paramount to our mission.
As a remote employee, we will provide you with the equipment needed to work from home, including a laptop, docking station, dual monitors, and accessories.
This position is primarily work from home within the Greater Sacramento, CA region, with some onsite presence.
• Drive consistent patient experience practices and apply CommonSpirit standards across the region, aligning with CommonSpirit Health's mission and strategic objectives.
• Translate strategic priorities into operational standard work.
• Manage the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of patient experience programs and initiatives, focusing on patient/care team engagement, communication, and service recovery.
• Establish and monitor KPIs, identify improvement opportunities through root cause analysis, and facilitate change to enhance patient experience and operational efficiency within the California region.
• Engage, influence, and collaborate with local market leadership, physicians, and teams to optimize patient experience, foster innovative thinking, and drive engagement across the care continuum. Mentor and develop leaders in patient experience practices.
• Ensure compliance with patient experience regulations and provide expertise on emerging changes. Represent patient experience on various committees.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare administration, with a proven track record of leadership and process improvement; equivalent experience acceptable
• Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards related to patient experience
• Strong knowledge and experience in patient experience processes and survey tool requirements (e.g., Press Ganey, HCAHPS)
• Demonstrated understanding of the business and financial considerations of a healthcare organization
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a variety of professionals in a healthcare organization, influencing matrixed resources
• Demonstrated ability to use advanced reasoning to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and design, implement, and manage appropriate resolutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with budgets, creation of action plans, interpersonal communication, and influencing skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize time effectively
• Demonstrated ability to independently assess, evaluate, and interpret information
Preferred
• MBA or MHA preferred
• Project Management experience in a healthcare environment preferred, including general knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement systems. Human-centered design ideal but not required.
• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred
• Preferred experience in transformational processes in a complex, competitive healthcare environment
