Pennsylvania Internship at Common Cause in Harrisburg, PA

Summary: Common Cause is seeking an intern to work with our team in Pennsylvania relating to voting and elections, redistricting, and democracy reform. Interns will assist with advocacy campaigns, grassroots engagement, research, policy development, communications, and/or member outreach and events. Responsibilities: - Legislative research, bill tracking, and policy analysis related to Election Protection Program - Supporting Action Team volunteer recruitment and coalition outreach - Drafting communications, graphics, social media content, and advocacy materials - Assisting with Election Protection organizing and voter engagement efforts - Investigative research on local redistricting Required Qualifications: - A passion for learning about elections, organizing, and the legislative process - A desire and an ability to work in a non-partisan manner - A willingness to build your organizational skills and attention to detail - A willingness to build your writing and listening skills - A willingness to learn new skills Important Skills: Legislative research, Policy analysis, Volunteer recruitment, Communications drafting Nice-to-Have Skills: Listening skills
