Job Description
Summary: Colorado State University is seeking a motivated undergraduate summer intern to support hands-on research in orthopaedic musculoskeletal biomedical engineering. The intern will assist with specimen preparation, data collection, and support computational workflows under the supervision of graduate students and PIs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with specimen/tissue preparation, benchtop testing, and data collection
- Support computational workflows (e.g., data processing, basic modeling/FEA support as applicable)
- Maintain organized records, follow lab SOPs, and contribute to research documentation
- Participate in lab meetings and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
Required Qualifications:
- Enrolled undergraduate in engineering, biomedical sciences, or related field
- Strong attention to detail; ability to follow protocols and work safely in a lab environment
- Must pass background check
Preferred Qualifications:
- experience with MATLAB/Python
- experience with CAD/3D printing
- experience with biomechanics
- experience with wet-lab methods
