Position Overview:
Collaborative Partners Initiative seeks a motivated individual to join our team as a Grant and RFP Assistant. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in grant writing, fundraising, and nonprofit development through structured training and mentorship. This role is a part-time limited to up to 20 hours per week. Successful candidates will have a positive attitude, growth mindset, and interest in joining a growing small business and actively working to expand their role within the company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Proposal Writing:
- Support the grant identification process and proposal creation, including drafting, editing, and finalizing proposals and related documents
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and accompanying documentation
- Attend client and internal meetings related to proposal development
Capacity Building & Fundraising:
- Support the development of fundraising pathways, sponsorships, and requests
- Assist in research and identification of new funding opportunities
- Participate in organizing fundraising events and preparing materials
- Foster positive relationships with funders and community partners
Additional Activities:
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
- Contribute effectively to team projects and independently manage tasks
- Participate in company directed training and professional development
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in using computers, email, and the Google Suite
- Interest in nonprofit development and fundraising
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
