Responsibilities: - Assemble and test optical measuring systems - Assemble, wire and test electrical control panels - Support general engineering, maintenance and equipment improvement initiatives as assigned - Enter equipment and maintenance data into computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) Required Qualifications: - Completion of a minimum of two years towards a bachelor's degree in Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, or an equivalent discipline - Familiarity with wiring diagrams, schematics, or lab equipment - Experience with basic hand tools, test equipment, or assembly work - Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Lt. or Autodesk Inventor is a plus - Excellent written and verbal communication - Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed - Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment - Attention to detail and time management - Sitting for extended periods while working on a computer or at a bench - Fine motor skills for working with small components, wiring, and precision assemblies - Occasional lifting of objects or materials up to 50 pounds for administrative tasks - Ability to communicate verbally and in writing Required Skills: Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering Important Skills: AutoCAD, Wiring diagrams
