Cocient connects chemists with the AI labs building frontier models. Experts on Cocient work remotely, on their own schedule, on some of the most cutting-edge problems in AI.

What you'll do

• Apply your chemistry expertise, from reaction mechanisms and synthesis to spectroscopy, to make AI genuinely useful to working scientists
• Pose the kinds of problems you'd work through at the bench or in group meeting, and evaluate how the models reason through them
• Help AI move beyond plausible-sounding answers to chemistry that actually holds up

Who we're looking for

• An advanced degree in chemistry, or substantial hands-on research or industry experience
• Strong command of your area of chemistry and the experimental reasoning behind it
• Clear, precise written English
• Published research or industry R&D experience is a plus

• Fully remote; set your own hours
