Job Description
Summary: Coborn’s, Inc. is a fast-growing, employee-owned grocery retailer serving communities across the Midwest through its grocery and related retail businesses. The Produce Clerk stocks shelves, builds displays, maintains product quality and freshness, cleans the department, engages guests through sampling and suggestive selling, and follows health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Stocking the shelves and building displays
- Culling (rotating and pulling product of less than high quality) in the produce department
- Ensures the department is fully stocked with fresh product and appealing to guests
- Receiving, inspecting for quality and freshness, and stocking product
- Cleaning the department and equipment
- Actively engaging guests through freshly prepared product samples and suggestive selling
- Attracting guests by creating a fun and friendly atmosphere
- Understanding all health, safety and sanitation regulations
