Cobalt Service Partners Overview

Cobalt is a private equity-backed company aiming to build the most impactful business in the commercial access and security industry (access control systems, video surveillance systems, intrusion detection systems and other low voltage systems integration). Cobalt is backed by Alpine Investors, a private equity firm specializing in middle market companies in the services and software industries and with $15bn+ of AUM. Cobalt's Co-CEOs (Tyler Hoffman and Anthony Gonzalez) are experienced investors and operators. In just two and a half years, Cobalt has successfully acquired 23 partner companies and established itself as one of the leading platforms in a highly attractive and fragmented industry that is benefitting from substantial secular growth tailwinds.

Position Overview

Cobalt is building a modern, standardized operating platform across its security integration partner companies. The Implementation Lead is the hands-on member of an implementation team that brings each partner company onto Cobalt's core business systems. The role works on site with partner company teams, leads training, owns the details and keeps vendors on track.

The Lead works through every phase of a rollout: discovery, configuration, user demos and training, testing, go-live preparation and adoption support. The work spans several partner companies at once and puts the Lead alongside people at every level, from field technicians to company leadership.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience implementing business systems (ERP, field service management, CRM or HRIS/payroll) from discovery through go-live.
• Experience on fast-paced or concurrent implementations, not only one long single-system project.
• Personally configured business systems: workflows, fields, permissions, reports or data imports.
• Led end-user demos and training for teams new to the software.
• Prepared systems and data for go-live, including data validation and cutover planning.
• Managed vendor deliverables and follow-ups to deadline.
• Willing to travel extensively and work on site with partner company teams.
• Experience in field services, systems integration or private equity-backed companies is a plus.

Personal Attributes

• Takes full ownership of the details and follows every open item to close.
• Exacting about detail; catches small data problems before they become big ones.
• Solves problems with structure and brings answers, not just issues.
• Explains systems simply to people who are new to the technology.
• Keeps a fast pace across multiple projects and thrives while processes are still being built.
• Learns new systems fast and teaches themselves.
• Stays calm and patient when users navigate change.

Cobalt's Core Values Are

• Unwavering stewardship: We believe advancing founders' legacies is a privilege. We do right by our founders, teams, and customers in good times and in bad.

• Enjoy the ride: We're fired up by our mission, love our team, and don't take either for granted. We show up authentically, assume best intent, and try not to take ourselves too seriously.
