About the role:
We are seeking a highly analytical and hands-on Continuous Improvement Sr. Specialist to support operational efficiency across our production and reconditioning environment. This role plays a critical execution function in building stable, scalable production systems through standardized work, time studies, root cause analysis, and structured documentation.
The ideal candidate brings a strong operational excellence mindset, thrives in fast-paced production environments, and is comfortable working directly on the floor to identify inefficiencies and drive measurable performance improvements. This role will partner cross-functionally with operations, production, and leadership teams to support throughput, quality, labor optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
What you’ll do:
Conduct standardized work audits and maintain SOP documentation and visual management tools
Develop and deploy Lean methodology training programs across operations teams
Perform time studies to validate cycle times, develop labor standards, and optimize labor allocation
Lead root cause analysis and structured problem-solving initiatives to address throughput gaps and defect trends
Identify operational inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies
Improve WIP flow, staging logic, yard movement, and visual management systems
Simplify and train associates on Lean concepts and continuous improvement principles
Support resource planning and CapEx justification through data analysis and cost-benefit evaluations
Develop and monitor KPI frameworks including throughput, cycle time, rework rate, First Pass Yield, and WIP metrics
Strengthen defect identification, rework tracking, and cross-functional quality feedback loops
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, production, and leadership teams to improve efficiency and scalability
Support operational standardization initiatives across multiple production areas
Provide reporting, documentation, and actionable insights to leadership teams
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations, or related field preferred
2–5+ years of experience in manufacturing, automotive, production, or high-throughput operational environments
Strong foundation in Lean principles, standardized work, time studies, root cause analysis, and process mapping
Lean or Six Sigma certification strongly preferred
Experience conducting time studies and developing labor models highly desirable
Advanced spreadsheet and data analysis capabilities with the ability to interpret operational metrics and trends
Extensive understanding of ergonomics principles and health & safety standards
Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and process-driven mindset
Strong observational, documentation, and reporting skills
Comfortable working directly on the production floor in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all organizational levels
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and continuous improvement capabilities

Communication: Frequent collaboration with operations leadership, production teams, and cross-functional departments
Problem Resolution/Analysis: Identify process inefficiencies, throughput gaps, and operational bottlenecks through data-driven analysis
Team/Individual Contributor: Individual contributor role with strong cross-functional influence and project leadership responsibilities
Working Conditions: On-site role within a production and reconditioning environment
Mental and Physical Skill/Effort: Analytical thinking, floor observation, multitasking, and continuous improvement execution required

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary range: $90,000 – $120,000 annually
