Quality Control Executive at Clumsy Bumsy in New Delhi(Kundli)

Quality Control Executive Clumsy Bumsy

• Location: Rai Industrial Area, Kundli, NCR
• Reports to: Production Incharge/ Production Manager

About Us

Clumsy Bumsy manufactures fresh cat food, sold directly to pet parents with no marketplace or middleman in between. What goes out of our factory is what a cat eats — there's no room for a shortcut on quality. We're mid-way through a 5x capacity expansion, which means quality checks that used to happen informally now need someone who owns them properly.

About the Role

We're hiring a Quality Control Executive to be personally accountable for the quality of everything that comes off our production line — from raw material intake to the sealed pouch. This is a hands-on, floor-based role: you'll be present through the production process, checking, testing, and flagging issues in real time, not reviewing a report after the fact.

What You'll Do

Product Quality Ownership

• Take end-to-end ownership of product quality across the manufacturing process — raw material, in-process, and finished pouch
• Do a final check on finished pouches before they're cleared for dispatch

Process Discipline Across Teams

• Actively monitor the packing, cooking, and food preparation teams to ensure no one is cutting corners on process, timing, or method — this means being present on the floor, not checking after the fact
• Flag any deviation from SOP immediately to the relevant team and to production management

Raw Material Checks

• Check incoming raw material (fish, other ingredients) for freshness, temperature, and visible quality before it enters production
• Verify raw material is being checked properly at every stage of the production process, not only at intake

Hygiene & Plant Cleanliness

• Ensure hygiene standards are being maintained across the plant — staff practices, equipment, work surfaces, and common areas
• Conduct regular hygiene checks and audits, and correct lapses on the spot

5S and Kaizen

• Drive 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) implementation and upkeep across the production floor
• Identify and drive Kaizen (continuous improvement) opportunities — small process fixes that reduce waste, rework, or risk, and track them through to completion

Process & Compliance Monitoring

• Monitor the retort (sterilization) process to confirm time and temperature parameters are being followed correctly on every batch
• Verify batch coding and labelling accuracy on every pouch for traceability
• Monitor cold storage rooms (chilled, -18C, blast freezer) to ensure products and raw materials are held at correct temperatures
• Support basic FSSAI/food safety recordkeeping and compliance requirements as guided by management

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain daily QC logs and raise any non-conformance immediately to the production team, rather than after the batch is complete
• Maintain records for 5S audits, Kaizen initiatives, hygiene checks, and any corrective actions taken

Other Areas QC Will Handle

• Pest control checks and housekeeping of storage and production areas
• Calibration checks on weighing scales, thermometers, and other measuring equipment used in production
• Water quality checks where used in processing (RO, wash water)
• Preliminary investigation support when a customer quality complaint comes in, to identify likely root cause on the production side
• Basic vendor/supplier material consistency checks over time (flagging if a supplier's raw material quality is drifting)
• Waste and rejection tracking — logging what's being rejected and why, to spot recurring issues

Who We're Looking For

• Somebody comfortable with meat and fish
• Having a background in food science is preferred, but we care far more about attention to detail and reliability than the certificate
• Comfortable being physically present on the shop floor for the full shift, including around cold storage and production equipment
• Detail-oriented — willing to check the same thing carefully, batch after batch, without cutting corners
• Able to speak up and flag a problem immediately, even under pressure to keep the line moving or under pushback from other teams
• Comfortable holding other teams accountable to process, even when it creates friction
