Job Description
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Cobol Mainframe
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Work on JCL, DB2, and CICS for application development and enhancements
- Perform debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of application issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
- Provide production support and resolve incidents within SLA timelines
- Document application processes, workflows, and technical specifications
- Contribute to continuous improvement and optimization of existing systems
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Cobol Mainframe development
- Strong hands-on experience in JCL, DB2, and CICS
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Experience in SQL and database management systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in production support and issue resolution
- Willingness to work from office in Bengaluru
