GTM Engineer at Clera in San Francisco, CA

ABOUT THE ROLE This is a founding GTM hire at an early-stage AI/ML infrastructure company building tools for reinforcement learning environments and model evaluation. You'll bridge engineering and revenue — owning the outbound pipeline end-to-end and building the systems that make it scale — working directly alongside the founding team to shape the go-to-market playbook from scratch. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Own the outbound pipeline end-to-end, from targeting and enrichment to outreach, follow-up, and meeting booking. - Build and maintain GTM workflows including outbound email sequencing, CRM automation, lead scoring, and custom internal tooling. - Use AI tools aggressively to multiply output — automated scrapers, workflow automation, and purpose-built tooling. - Develop and iterate on messaging that resonates with ML engineers, AI researchers, and engineering leaders. - Learn prospect businesses and industries quickly to understand pain points, workflows, and product fit. - Track pipeline metrics and optimize conversion at every stage of the funnel. - Collaborate with the founding team to refine and scale the GTM playbook as the company grows. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Demonstrated track record of building and running a GTM motion with measurable results, including closing deals. - Strong technical foundation — CS or engineering background, or extensive hands-on coding and technical project experience. - Comfortable holding technical conversations with ML engineers, AI researchers, and engineering leaders. - Experience building outbound systems using tools like Clay, Apollo, or custom automation. - History of using AI tools aggressively to enhance GTM output and operational leverage. - Experience selling developer tools, infrastructure, or ML/AI products to technical buyers. - Familiarity with reinforcement learning concepts — environments, evals, and benchmarks is a strong plus. - Early-stage startup experience; thrives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments without predefined playbooks. - Strong written communication that technical audiences actually respond to. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary range: $100,000 – $150,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available. LOCATION On-site in San Francisco, CA. Candidates must be willing to work from the office.
