Product Manager (Techno-Functional) at ClaimCare in Islamabad
Job Description
Role & Responsibility:
You will own our software end to end, as both its product manager and its project manager. You turn what the credentialing operations team needs into clear requirements, drive the developers to build it, test it before it ships, and stay accountable when anything breaks.
This is a techno-functional role. You do not need to write production code, but you must be comfortable reading a database schema, writing a SQL query to check data, reproducing a bug, and talking through a fix with engineers. When an issue comes up, it is yours until it is resolved.
Key responsibilities
Product ownership
- Own the PracticeCred roadmap and backlog; prioritize features, fixes and technical debt with the CEO.
- Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows and mockup notes the development team can build from.
- Understand each user role (practice admin, provider, credentialing specialist, internal staff) and design for how they actually work.
- Track product usage and user feedback, and turn it into improvements.
Bridging operations and technology
- Work daily with the credentialing operations team to learn their pain points, gaps and manual workarounds.
- Translate operational needs (payer enrollment, CAQH, re-credentialing, follow-ups) into product requirements.
- Train the operations team on new releases and write user guides and SOPs for each feature.
Project and delivery management
- Plan sprints, set timelines and run standups and release reviews with developers.
- Keep the build aligned with requirements; catch scope drift early.
- Report weekly status, risks and blockers to the CEO.
Testing and quality
- Own user acceptance testing (UAT): write test cases, test every release on staging, and sign off before go-live.
- Verify data correctness, access permissions per role, and end-to-end workflows.
Issue ownership
- Be the single point of contact for every bug or production issue.
- Triage, reproduce, document and prioritize issues; drive them to resolution and confirm the fix with users.
- Run short post-mortems on serious issues so they do not repeat.
Compliance and documentation
- Make sure features respect HIPAA and the handling of sensitive provider data (licenses, SSNs, banking details).
- Keep product documentation, release notes and the developer handover document current.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, Business or a related field.
- 4–7 years managing a digital product (SaaS, web or mobile app), with at least 2 years in a product or project manager role.
- Proven record of taking features from requirement to release, and owning issues after launch.
- Solid techno-functional skills: reading database tables, writing basic SQL, understanding APIs, user roles and permissions, and web app architecture.
- Hands-on with Jira, ClickUp, Asana or similar, and with tools like Figma or Miro for wireframes and flows.
- Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, test cases and SOPs.
- Strong UAT and QA discipline; you test before you trust.
- Excellent written and spoken English, comfortable working directly with US-based leadership.
- Willing to work US Eastern overlap hours.
Nice to have
- Experience in US healthcare IT, medical billing, RCM or provider credentialing (CAQH, PECOS, payer enrollment).
- Familiarity with HIPAA and handling sensitive personal data.
- Exposure to Supabase / PostgreSQL, React or TypeScript web apps, or AI-assisted build tools such as Lovable.
- Experience with AI features in products (chat copilots, document extraction).
- Certifications such as PMP, CSPO, PSM or Agile/Scrum.
