Our aspiration is to be a GovTech champion everywhere we work around the globe, supporting the needs of citizens and those that serve them every day. Building on 21 years of continuous growth and success, we're at a pivotal point on our journey to realise that aspiration.
Why you will love this opportunity as Electoral Consultant at Civica
We’re looking for an Electoral Consultant to join Civica’s Democracy team, supporting local authorities who use our electoral software, Xpress. You’ll be the first point of contact for customers, helping them resolve queries, troubleshoot issues and get the most from our products.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys problem solving, working with customers and being part of a team that supports vital democratic services. No two days are quite the same, particularly during busy election periods, and you’ll play an important role in ensuring our customers receive prompt, reliable support when they need it most.
What you will do to be successful in this role:
Responsibilities
Be the first point of contact for customers via phone and email, providing friendly and efficient support.
Log, track and resolve customer queries through our support system, ensuring everything is recorded accurately.
Investigate issues using internal resources and product knowledge to provide clear, practical solutions.
Keep customers updated on progress and outcomes, ensuring a positive support experience.
Work closely with product, technical and operational teams to resolve more complex queries.
Identify recurring issues or trends and share insights to help improve our products and support processes.
Take part in team knowledge sharing and training to build expertise in our electoral solutions.
Provide additional support during busy election periods, including occasional evenings or weekends.
Experience in a customer service or support role, ideally handling queries by phone and email.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain information clearly and professionally.
A problem-solving mindset, able to investigate issues and find practical solutions.
High attention to detail and organisation, with the ability to manage multiple cases at once.
Good IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and learning new systems quickly.
We Want You to Bring Your Whole Self to Work
There is no such thing as the perfect candidate, so if you think you have what it takes but don't necessarily meet every single point on the list above, please still get in touch. We'd love to have a chat and see if you could be a great fit.
Why You'll Love Working with Us
As a company, we're passionate about what we do and the citizens we serve. If you, too, want to champion the use of technology in public services to improve outcomes for citizens and public sector organizations, then Civica is the right place for you.
