Why You’ll Love This Role
You’ll lead the delivery and future direction of over 1,000 parks and streetscapes, shaping the amenity and how communities experience public spaces. This is a highly visible leadership role where your impact will be felt across the City, driving innovation, sustainability and service excellence.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead Parks and Streetscapes Service Unit strategy and operations
Oversee maintenance programs and service delivery
Manage large multidisciplinary workforce and contractors
Drive innovation in public open space management
Develop business, capital and operational plans
Monitor performance, budgets and service outcomes
Build partnerships with stakeholders and industry
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Fostering strong and consistent culture and behaviours

qualifications
What You’ll Bring
You’re a strategic leader passionate about public spaces. You’ll ideally bring:
Relevant tertiary qualification in parks or environment
Extensive parks and open space management experience
Strong leadership of large operational teams
People centric leadership style
Proven strategic planning and service delivery expertise
Financial management and budget control experience
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement
Knowledge of industry trends and compliance standards
