Summary: The City of Seattle is offering an internship opportunity at the Yesler Community Center aimed at engaging youth in developing critical thinking and technical skills for the modern job market. The Video Production Intern will assist in creating high-quality video content, collaborate with team members on creative concepts, and manage video files while adhering to brand guidelines. Responsibilities: - Maintains excellent attendance with minimal tardiness - Dresses in business casual clothing for lab/class programming - Assist the Video Editor in creating high-quality and engaging video content for our clients - Collaborate with the Video Editor and other team members to develop creative concepts and storyboards for video projects - Edit raw footage and add visual effects, graphics, and sound to create polished and professional videos - Ensure all videos adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent look and feel - Manage and organize video files and assets - Stay up to date with industry trends and techniques to continually improve the quality of our videos Required Qualifications: - 16 through 18 years of age - Strong oral and written communication skills to include proofreading, editing, and producing documents for internal and external distribution - Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work with challenging individuals - Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure, juggle multiple tasks, and handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality - Familiarity working with Mac and Windows-based software and Applications including Chrome, Safari, Google, Video Editing Software (Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve) Preferred Qualifications: - Any previous experience with Seattle Parks & Recreation programming Required Skills: Video Editing Software - Final Cut Pro, Video Editing Software - Premiere Pro, Video Editing Software - DaVinci Resolve, Mac OS, Windows OS, Google Chrome, Safari
