Job Description
Summary: City of Atlanta is seeking interns for their Summer College Internship Program in Architectural Design. The Design Intern position involves supporting the Design team with tasks such as library maintenance, assisting in new construction and renovation projects, and helping with furniture and décor planning.
Responsibilities:
- Library maintenance
- Picking up and returning samples
- Assisting Designers with New Construction/Renovation projects
- Assisting Designers with Furniture, Drapery and Décor planning and selections
Required Qualifications:
- Must be pursuing a degree in Architecture or Interior Design from a CIDA-FIDER accredited school
- Proficiency in Sketch Up, Adobe Photoshop, Publisher, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Language: English proficiency
- Demonstrated desire to expand skills into new areas
- Enthusiasm and strong self-motivation
- Strong prioritization and time management skills, with a high degree of flexibility
- Self-motivated and strong time management skills to successfully work on multiple projects
- Demonstrates effective, clear, and professional written and oral communication
Preferred Qualifications:
- Achieving a degree in Architecture, Interior design, or other related fields within the next year
- Ability to read construction drawings
- Previous internship experience

Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer
