Job Description
Summary: Cisco is a leading technology company focused on innovation in collaboration solutions. As a Software Engineer with the Devices Technology Group, you will contribute to the development and lifecycle of collaboration devices, ensuring high-quality and reliable software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design, coding, testing, and maintenance of software solutions
- Work closely with senior engineers to refine your craft and ensure our software meets the highest standards of quality and maintainability
Required Qualifications:
- Completion within the past 3 years, or current enrollment with expected completion within 12 months, of an undergraduate degree. Relevant fields Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- Proficiency in C and C++ with a focus on developing software for device-level applications
- Practical experience using Python for scripting, automation, and prototyping tasks
- Familiarity with version control systems (such as Git) and standard command-line tools to support efficient development workflows
Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of Java for application development and system integration
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to established coding standards and best practices
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with experience identifying and resolving software defects and performance issues
- A proactive, growth-oriented mindset with an eagerness to learn new programming languages and adapt to evolving technologies within the Cisco ecosystem
