Job Description
Summary: Cisco is a leading technology company focused on innovation in data and infrastructure. The Business Operations Analyst I role involves supporting operational initiatives, collaborating across functions, and contributing to strategic projects within the Routing and IIoT sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Support and contribute to business operations programs, initiatives, and projects
- Draft, edit, and refine business documents, including project plans, executive-level presentations and summaries, and stakeholder communications
- Develop a growing understanding of Cisco's business objectives, products, services, and customers
- Assist in project management activities such as tracking milestones, maintaining project timelines, coordinating meeting agendas & content, and following up on action items
- Analyze and identify trends and patterns in operational data and translate findings into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders
- Communicate moderately complex concepts clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally, to inform and influence decision-making
- Collaborate with peers and senior colleagues, executives, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts to understand and resolve operational challenges
- Participate as an active member of project teams, contributing to planning, execution, and delivery
- Receive guidance and mentorship from experienced team members while progressively taking on greater responsibility
Required Qualifications:
- Completion within the past 3 years, or current enrollment with expected completion within 12 months, of a certification or relevant degree program (e.g., Associates, Apprenticeship, Boot Camp, or Certification in a specialized program + 1 year of relevant experience, High School Diploma + 2 years of relevant experience) or Bachelors + 0 years of relevant experience
- Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling business documents, reports, and executive-level presentations
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, with the ability to translate complex information into visually engaging and audience-appropriate presentations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with project management methodologies or tools (e.g., Airtable, Asana) to support planning, tracking, and execution of business initiatives
- Experience working in a cross-functional or matrixed business environment, with the ability to navigate competing priorities and build relationships across teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data organization, analysis, and reporting
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Intellectual curiosity and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
