Responsibilities: - Adhere to standard operating procedures for laboratory instruments - Prepare samples precisely and record data meticulously in laboratory notebooks - Conduct lab safety inspections in collaboration with team members - Maintain attention to detail to ensure accurate and reproducible data from each instrument - Analyze, summarize, and effectively communicate results as required - Deliver an oral or poster presentation summarizing responsibilities, challenges, successes, key learnings, and recommendations at the internship's conclusion Required Qualifications: - Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving, both independently and collaboratively - Comfortable handling solvents, acids, bases, and other chemicals while using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) - Currently enrolled as a sophomore or junior in a STEM program at an accredited college or university - Strong interest in laboratory instruments and data analysis - Familiarity with lab safety protocols and OSHA regulations - Demonstrates impeccable character and aligns with our company's values - Submission of current transcript and at least one recommendation letter from a professor or advisor Preferred Qualifications: - Previous experience with material characterization and laboratory procedures is advantageous Required Skills: Laboratory instruments, Data analysis Important Skills: Lab safety protocols, Material characterization Nice-to-Have Skills: Impeccable character
