Job Description
Summary: CIBC is building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world and is seeking a talented Analyst to support their Project Finance & Infrastructure team. The role involves financial modeling, analysis, and assisting in due diligence for new transactions, while working closely with deal teams and various internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in completion of due diligence on new transactions
- Strong financial modeling and financial analysis skills
- Prepare materials for presenting transactions to management and credit group
- Assist in closing transactions, including managing internal process and liaising with external consultants, advisors and legal counsel
- Interface with internal product groups, including rates, commodities, debt capital markets, and investment banking
- Assist in creating marketing materials and internal reports Responsible for on-going monitoring of booked assets
- Collect, assemble and analyze market data
Required Qualifications:
- 0-2 years experience
- Demonstrate a positive track record in energy and/or non-energy infrastructure finance
- Experience building and working in financial models
- Strong financial modeling and financial analysis skills
- Assist in completion of due diligence on new transactions
- Prepare materials for presenting transactions to management and credit group
- Assist in closing transactions, including managing internal process and liaising with external consultants, advisors and legal counsel
