Job Description
Summary: Churchill Asset Management is an investment-specialist affiliate of Nuveen, focused on providing customized financing solutions to U.S. middle market private equity firms. The Associate/Senior Analyst role involves performing quantitative and qualitative analysis for investment opportunities, preparing internal materials, monitoring portfolio performance, and developing relationships to generate deal flow.
Responsibilities:
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to underwrite investment opportunities across PEJC
- Assist in the preparation of internal memoranda and other materials used to support investment recommendations and to communicate with internal constituents
- Assist with monitoring the performance of existing portfolio investments, including regular communication with private equity firms, management teams and third-party clients
- Develop and manage relationships with private equity firms and other intermediaries to generate investment deal flow
- Participate in due diligence meetings with sponsors and portfolio company executives
Required Qualifications:
- Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to underwrite investment opportunities across PEJC

- Assist with monitoring the performance of existing portfolio investments, including regular communication with private equity firms, management teams and third-party clients

- Participate in due diligence meetings with sponsors and portfolio company executives
- Capital markets structuring experience with a preference for a background in private equity, mezzanine finance, leveraged loans, equity research, secondaries, or M&A
- Demonstrated experience developing and using financial statement analysis and financial modeling
- Strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint required
- Strong knowledge of accounting and finance
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Willingness to work hard in a team-oriented, performance-based environment
- A self-starter that requires limited oversight in the completion of individual projects
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- 1 - 4 years of relevant experience including a private equity fund, hedge fund, investment bank, consulting firm, or a related capital markets position
