ESIS ProClaim Representative, A&H
Location: Overland Park, KS, United States
The Personal Contents Property Adjuster is responsible for managing a daily inventory of personal property claims arising from fire, water, pest infestation, and theft at storage facilities. This role involves reviewing rental agreements, investigating losses through video surveillance, gate logs, and statements from facility representatives, insureds, and witnesses, and validating submitted worksheets of personal property values. The adjuster will also manage independent adjusters and experts, interpret policy language to determine coverage and payment, maintain reserves, prepare coverage letters and reports, and deliver strong customer service.
This position reports to the Team Leader and requires a high level of initiative, strong prioritization and multitasking skills, flexibility, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment while meeting industry best practices and claim handling requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
- Investigate facts of loss, including computerized damage estimating of personal property
- Conduct coverage analysis to determine eligibility and applicable exclusions
- Prepare coverage letters, including disclaimers and Reservation of Rights letters for customers
- Ensure timely posting of loss and expense reserves and manage claims from assignment through resolution
- Review and follow client handling instructions
- Settle claims promptly and fairly
- Maintain data integrity through proper coding and system functions
- Demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, organizational, and analytical skills
- Strong project management skills with the ability to work independently
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong writing skills, particularly in policy interpretation and related documentation
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience with claims handling systems
- Experience evaluating property damage estimates, such as Xactimate
- Adjuster licensing preferred
- Claims handling experience preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain a positive, professional approach
An applicable resident or designated home state adjuster’s license is required for ESIS Field Claims Adjusters. Adjusters that do not fulfill the license requirements will not meet ESIS’s employment requirements for handling claims. ESIS supports independent self-study time and will allow up to 4 months to pass the adjuster licensing exam.

The pay range for the role is $57,000 to $83,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
