Job Description
The Production Technician maintains, prepares, organizes, and supports rental inventory across the Christie Lites shop. This is an entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the live entertainment industry. The role provides hands-on experience with lighting and production equipment while supporting daily shop operations.
Responsibilities
- Fills daily orders: Pulls and fills assigned orders, ensuring equipment is properly prepared and ready for rental. Checks rental equipment into Nexus using a barcode scanner or manual data entry. Labels cases accurately with show information, including order number, customer, date, and show name. Delivers rental products to the appropriate staging area by the time and date indicated in Nexus.
- Maintains inventory: Following all ORPL prep procedures to ensure equipment is maintained to Christie Lites standards. Checking equipment that does not pass prep standards into service. Packaging and storing equipment that is not needed immediately for rental. Conducting periodic inventory counts as required. Informing supervisor of inventory inaccuracies.
- Maintains organized work area: Ensuring all tools and supplies are returned to proper storage areas at the end of shift. Ensuring rental products are stored in an approved ORPL manner. Cleaning and sanitizing workstation daily and common areas as assigned. Removing recycling and waste to appropriate disposal areas. Informing supervisor of low stock of supplies.
- Prepares and maintains rental equipment: Follows Christie Lites preparation procedures to ensure equipment meets company standards. Identifies equipment that does not meet preparation standards and brings it to the attention of the appropriate team member or supervisor. Packages and stores equipment that is not immediately needed for rental.
- Offers miscellaneous help: Assisting in all other departments as directed by supervisor. Assisting with warehouse projects directed by supervisor. Have the opportunity to join the Joint Health and Safety Committee.

Professional Attributes
Capable of lifting over 50 LBS repeatedly throughout the day.
Basic computer skills Nexus, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Zoom, Teams.
Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
Previous warehouse, logistics, or production experience is a plus.
Previous experience in theater, AV, stagehand work, lighting, production, events, or a related field is a plus.
Starting pay: $17.00 per hour.
