Summary: ChristianaCare is currently seeking an Information Security Intern who will be responsible for assisting the Information Security with many components of the institution's information security program. This internship position will provide the individual with hands-on experience in the discipline of cybersecurity and exposure to its various domains. Responsibilities: - Help analysts conduct access governance audits - Run test to verify that secure controls on systems are working correctly - Spend time reading documentation on information security controls - Review and update documentation for policies, procedures, standards and guidelines - Research and evaluate technologies by the information security team - Assistance with the deployment and upkeep of the information security department’s website content - Provide first level compliance monitoring and investigations - Assist with forensics analysis and fact gathering - Assist with vulnerability assessments for specific applications, services, networks and servers as required - Assist with applications/tools including but not limited to SIEM, IPS, Netflow, e-mail gateway protection, and DLP tools - Perform compliance audits against institutionally accepted security controls - Record and track IT security incidents, including but not limited to compromised accounts, e-mail threats, and abuse reports from various sources Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED - Enrolled in Associate/Bachelor/Masters degree programs, in healthcare, design, technology, or field related to one or more of the positions above Preferred Qualifications: - Any innovative/technology experience or hobbies is a plus Required Skills: Cybersecurity, Vulnerability assessments, Compliance monitoring Important Skills: Forensics analysis, Documentation review Nice-to-Have Skills: Innovative technology experience, Soft skills Benefits: Health insurance, Paid time off, Retirement, An employee assistance program
