What This Role Is About
This role is permanent 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday 7.00am - 3.30pm
Thorpe House provides a short-term (1week) residential withdrawal management service for men and women who are seventeen years and over in a safe and supportive environment.
This role involves a full range of client management needs including intake screening, admissions and discharges and referrals.
Maintaining domestic/housekeeping requirements in the kitchen/pantry and communal areas. Reporting and record keeping is an important part of this role. Accurate maintenance of client records and confidentiality are critical to this role.
About You – What you Bring
We are seeking someone with the following skills and experience:
Level 4 certificate in health and wellbeing or equivalent experience.
Experience working with those with addictions and co-existing problems
Reliability and willing to be part of a supportive team
Great communication and people skills
Knowledge of Canterbury’s Addiction and Mental Health Services
Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and relevant laws
Ability to manage time well, stay calm under pressure, and make good decisions
Commitment to respectful, inclusive, and ethical practice
IT confident and able to manage reporting and systems
