The Clinical Laboratory Scientist II will support the development and implementation of new diagnostic assays, perform assay and equipment validation, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities: - Supports the development and implementation of new diagnostic assays - Working independently under director's guidance, performs assay and equipment validation - Authors standard operating procedure and develops training and competency documents - Ensures quality and regulatory compliance Required Qualifications: - Minimum one (1) year of Clinical Laboratory experience - Bachelor degree - Biological Science - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills - Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and organization skills; excellent critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills - Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English effectively at a level appropriate for the safe and effective performance of the job - Proficient knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area - Strong attention to detail, vigilance, poise, and composure in stressful situations - Clinical Lab Scientist-CA (CLS); Limited Licensed CLS may be accepted in lieu of a General CLS Preferred Qualifications: - Two (2) to five (5) years of Clinical Laboratory experience - American Society of Clinical Pathology Required Skills: Clinical Laboratory Science, Assay validation, Equipment validation, Standard operating procedure authoring, Training and competency document development, Quality compliance, Regulatory compliance, Clinical Lab Scientist-CA (CLS) licensure, American Society of Clinical Pathology certification, Computer systems and software proficiency, Interpersonal relationship, Vigilance Benefits: CHOC’s compensation structure, benefits offerings, and career development programs are geared to helping you achieve your professional and personal goals.
