Summary: Chmura Economics & Analytics is a leading economic advisory and technology development firm specializing in big data analytics. They are seeking a Data Engineering Intern to support their Engineering team, contributing to the development of state-of-the-art software and data products. Responsibilities: - Work with the Engineering team to roll out new data driven capabilities - Participate in the full application development lifecycle - Contribute to the design, development, testing, optimization, and documentation of data products - Build data pipelines, solutions, and products with a high degree of reliability, scalability and security - Collaborate with the Data Governance team to ensure data integrity and usability - Communicate solutions by explaining the design, lineage, and logic of the data models and processes Required Qualifications: - You have implementation skills with programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, or C++ - You have experience working with querying languages such as SQL - You have good knowledge of algorithms, data structures and OOP principles; experience with distributed computing and data science is a plus - You are excited to solve ambiguous problems with a collaborative team - You are excited to solve unique business problems and participate in a collaborative team environment - Eagerness to learn from and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve processes - Pursuing an undergraduate degree with a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems, or a related degree.
